I only ate at this location once and it was kind of a disaster but, that was a while ago and I'll call it a fluke until my next food visit. Otherwise, I really like Triangle for a good Coleman Blvd hangout spot. They have a huge outdoor area which is partially enclosed and heated in the cooler months. The beer selection is pretty impressive as well and they have cornhole outside!

I hate that brunch is only on Sundays. I get cravings for the Smoked Salmon Benedict with home-fries ALL week...and honestly, you just can't beat $1 mimosas! It's definitely the best spot to kick off of a Sunday Funday! In fact, I've never been to Triangle for a meal on their regular lunch / dinner menu...and it's possible that I never will. Service has always been nice and appropriately paced for how busy they are. I recommend getting there RIGHT AT 11:00 to be seated quickly or snag a seat in the bar. There's really nothing else to say - love love love this place!

Wow! What a great place for Sunday brunch. Plenty of out door seating with live music to create a funky place to hang. All 3 had omelets which were huge. I had the chicken and spinach. It was loaded with all ingredients including mushrooms. Too big to eat it all. We had 1 mistake on omelet that was rectified in about 2 min. Staff was friendly and service was good

Meh. Just meh. I've eaten at this location numerous times, as it happens to be a fav spot for a good friend of mine. Admittedly, if I know that's where she wants to go, I generally duck out because although my service experience here has never been aweful, the food experience pretty much always has been. Fast forward to Brunch this morning, waiter was on top of us and provided great service and was quick to refill the Mimosas and the Bloody Mary's. then comes the food. I was one of five at the table to order a Benedict. Lackluster Hollandaise is anybody's first hint that the rest of it probably won't be all that. I didn't complain because I knew full well what I was getting into by agreeing to meet here, but, I was floored when my friend who thinks so much of the place actually said she was disappointed. So, lackluster Hollandaise, frozen potatoes they're labeling 'home fries,' grocery store fruit, ( you know, melons!), and Luke warm poached eggs. Certainly not the worst place somebody could pick, but not the best either.

I ate here for brunch yesterday and the food was really hit and miss between all the people at our table. I tried the special of the day, it was a crab omelette. There was still a little bit of shell in there with my omelette. The crab wasn't even chopped up and I pulled all of it out in one tangled piece, and just ate the egg. I would've sent it back but everyone at the table that got grits sent theirs back because the were cold and undercooked. 2 out of 6 enjoyed their food they both got steak eggs Benedict. The live music was a plus and cheap mimosas. This is my second time not really enjoying the food so if I go back it will be for the drinks and atmosphere!

Laura and I FINALLY broke down and decided to give TC&B a try for brunch after I had a night of bourbon drinking and cigar smoking with the fellas. So freaking glad we did! The place just has a cool, open air vibe to it; all thanks to the giant open garage doors. It was a bit rainy and breezy that morning so having the fresh cool air on me certainly helped contain my composure. I ordered the daily special which was folded eggs with sirloin steak, cream cheese and jalapeno. Note to my fellow yelpers. The dishes here are very formidable opponents to any appetite. The dish was HUGE! And tasty. The flavor of the cream cheese mixed with diced jalapeno was fantastic. Laura ordered the salmon and folded eggs. It too came with cream cheese and dill. The smoked salmon was stupid good! What really surprised me was how much smoked salmon they used in the dish. Every single bite was literally filled with smoked salmon. It was so good, I ended up eating the rest of Laura's dish and taking mine to go. Each dish comes with a side of either grits of home fries. Skip the grist here and go with the home fries. By the end of the meal the grits had congealed into a lumpy mass. You're in the south. HOME of grits. Try harder. Oh snap! I almost forgot the #1 best thing about this place!!!! - They have $7 dollar crafts of mimosa's! YES!!! $7 freaking dollars! NO more paying $5 bucks for one for me! I really do love this place and if it weren't for us going out of town this weekend, we'd be back there again Sunday.

I went with some family on St. Patrick's Day. I've been here for brunch many times, but had yet to try anything on their regular menu. I started off with an Angry Orchard, which was reasonably priced at $5 for a tall can. We asked our server about the drums special, which seemed appealing, so we ordered a few. I chose two of the Guinness Cheddar Cheese. HOLY COW! These things are huge and SO flavorful. I love the crunch of the drum with the cheesy, Guinness-y sauce. They were phenomenal. My only complaint was it came with Blue Cheese (which I hate) and it had sort of dripped on the drums. No worried though - they offer Ranch also (you won't need it). Come to find out, the Guinness drums are a rotating flavor, so they aren't always available. Not cool. I ordered a cuban sandwich for my actual meal. I wasn't overwhelmed with satisfaction - it was just like every cuban sandwich I've ordered before - grilled bread with ham, swiss, pork, mustard, and pickles. The waiter did bring some sort of brown liquid (Like an au jus, I guess) that was pretty great. It had a VERY familiar flavor to it that I still can't figure out. While burgers seem to be their big thing, they get 5 stars for the brunch and the drums!

  • Chris M.

PBR Drums (chicken legs) were luke warm and pink in the middle, the fries that accompanied the Pad Thai tacos were hard and the best part of the tacos themselves were the taco shells. The food was subpar. Great place for beer and corn hole but the food is definitely forgettable. What a shame.

Located in Mount Pleasant. Nice large indoor outdoor restaurant and lounge. You can sit at the bar on the indoor side or outdoor side and similarly for the restaurant. They make some excellent modern style tacos. For example, I had a fish and coleslaw taco. 3 tacos for a guy and 2 for a girl will fill you up and they come with a side of tortilla chips. Staff were very personable. Drinks were reasonably priced. The place was busy.

Went there with my friends and we all had the plain Jane burgers. I had mine with sweet potato fries. They were awesome. Great food and nice atmosphere. Would go again.

Decent beer selection. Very chill environment. Outside of brunch the food isn't amazing, but it's good for a bar. Good for a chill place to hang.

Had the grass fed "general lee" burger with pimento cheese and grilled onions. Awesome. Great friendly service.

  • Aleks K.

We were blown away by how awesome our food was! As repeat brunchers, we've seen quite a few places and left quite a few $40 checks behind that weren't worth it. $1 mimosas, better atmosphere than the West Ash Triangle, better food, too! I had the pulled pork sandwich and he had the DIY breakfast. Biscuits were super good, I may have eaten both tops (oops). I loved that they weren't skimpy on the coleslaw! Wasn't just an afterthought like at some places where you get a condiment cup w/liquid mayo/cabbage. We will be back, $24 for both plates and 3 mimosas.

Go Tuesday nights for yummy burger tacos and $3 margaritas. Ask for not so much sweet/sour mix as this makes a better cocktail

  • Rob K.

Holy awesomeness! The Coop, the Nap, the Egg rolls, the southwest salad, the tacos, I can go on and on. The menu is solid and the beers selections are great. Love this place!

    (5)
  • Ryne T.

Let's start with the low point- personally I wasn't a fan of the popcorn. Very different taste that I didn't like. Everyone else at the table did though. Now the high points- WHAT A BURGER! wow. I had the Nap which is a burger stuck between two grilled cheeses, ingenious! And lastly the sweet potato sticks are worth every penny. ** forgot to mention they have corn hole boards!

Had a pork sandwich for brunch. It was good, but nothing to go out of my way for.

Stopped in here by chance, other restaurants on Sullivan's Island were too crowded. What a great surprise!!! The tacos were terrific - very large protions of food. Our waiter was awesome - really glad we went here.

  • Joy S.

I've been here several times and I really love the atmosphere. It's a great place to grab drinks especially when the weather's nice. The food is a different story. I've never had anything that wowed me. I used to come for Taco Tuesday because I thought it was a great deal but the tacos are so mediocre it's just not worth it anymore. However, the other night a group of us came here to grab a late-night bite after having beers at House of Brews. And I don't know if it was the beers or the fact that I was starving, but I had a chicken sandwich called The Coop that totally hit the spot. I devoured that sandwich in record time. Honestly, I don't even remember what all was on it. I definitely remember pineapple though. Doesn't matter. It was awesome. And sweet potato fries with the apple butter just made it even better. Skip the tacos, they're really not great, and get The Coop.

  • Nataliya M.

The pulled pork tacos were amazing. Portion size was shockingly great! This was my first time but definitely wont be the last. Service was incredible. The staff is very friendly and informed. The atmosphere I think is close to as great as the food. This would be a great placr to meet with friends. The outdoor seating and entertainment is awesome!

This has quickly become my family's go-to spot for good casual fare. The menu is a little limited, but the is something for everyone, including a decent kids menu. Oddly, the chicken fingers on the kids menu are not on the main menu at all - neither as an appetizer nor as an entree. I usually get the brisket tacos, which are great. The veggies on them don't reheat well, so keep that in mind if you plan to eat one now and the other later. My wife has ordered a number of things and never been disappointed. They have a good selection of beer that I've never tried - sweet tea is as wild as I get for most meals. But those of you who like to get legless should be happy here.

  • Jen H.

Quite possibly my favorite, off-the-water / off-island spot, to go sit outside in the area. The atmosphere is fabulous even though it over looks Ben Sawyer Blvd. Don't just drive past it... go in and relax... and you will see what I'm talking about. The beer selection is top notch, and you can't beat the staff. They're some of the best around. Food-wise, go for brunch. It's spot on and when adding a carafe of mimosa to the mix... will start your day with a lot of laughs and a full belly.

Sunday funday!!!!!!! One of my favorite spots for Sunday brunch. Honestly, I've only been there a handful of times not on a Sunday. I love the brunch... Omelets ate huge and delicious. Fish tacos great. The pork egg rolls (forget name) are sooooo yummy. Eating outside surrounded by couches, Cornhole, great staff. 1 dollar mimosas are a big plus too!!!

  • Andrew M.

This place used to be a solid place to go but not so much anymore. The staff has seemed to of turned over quite a bit lately and they have no idea what good service means. We were completely shocked the other day when they abruptly closed the kitchen down because they couldn't handle it...you're a restaurant! Not only that but AFTER we ordered our food, the server said "of by the way, we are on a 60 minute food time wait"...they were not even that busy and why wait to tell us until after we order??? During our entire visit, not one time did a manager come over and explain what was going on or apologize for the terrible experience. What really tops things off is after the terrible service and experience we tipped accordingly...well the server thought she should have received more because when we saw our bank statement she added a major amount to her tip (and it wasn't an error due to what she added). So, if you want to go to a place where servers STEAL YOUR MONEY, HAVE TERRIBLE SERVICE, WAIT FOREVER FOR FOOD then this is your place! Have fun!

The Triangle Char & Bar in Mt P is a great place to hang out with friends. The food is just okay. I have never been that impressed and the beer is a little pricey. HOWEVER, the liquor prices are good and I love the outdoor seating. Overall, the atmosphere makes this place a winner. I organized a birthday happy hour here and they were very accommodating. They saved us a spot on the coaches outside. They also helped with the cake.

Really surprised to learn they serve farm raised salmon since their beef is grass fed. When I asked why, the waitress and manager on duty copped an attitude.

This place is no good. I've been twice. The first time in January with family for my birthday. The food was mediocre, at best, then. Today I decided to give it another shot with my husband and son. I was extremely disappointed... I told my husband to never let me give this place another shot. My son's grilled cheese was somehow overcooked and undercooked. The bread was soggy and the cheese was hard like it was burnt. The fries were also soggy even though we arrived at 11 and we're literally the only people there for the first 20 minutes. Then, the burger I got: I asked for it medium and received it well done... very, very well done. I let that slide because, well, hell, these aren't world class cooks and God knows I can't cook a burger to the right temperature half the time. The taste, though.. it was terrible. Listen, I grew up poor. Sometimes we had to eat meat from the freezer that maybe had a little freezer burn. If I'm spending $12 on a burger as an adult, though, I expect the meat to at least be sans freezer burn taste. Maybe that's just me... but it is what I expect. My fries, like my son's, we're soggy. My husband enjoied his chicken tacos but that's not saying much--he has lovingly eaten the crap I cook for almost 10 years. He's a good man and doesn't complain often. Luckily, I do that for him. :-) his fries were also quite obviously soggy. All-in-all, don't count on this place for much more than a bar spot. Our waitress was nice even if a little absent (which is weird since there were only 3 table's worth of people when we left at 11:45).

First off, know that I HATE being stuck with brunch. I don't know if there's anything I hate more than being told I either have to choose from a crappy omelet, or two lunch items. There was a bit of a wait yesterday, so we posted up at the bar for a bloody mary, which was excellent, though I was annoyed I didn't get any celery with mine, even though my wife's came with some (and was made by the same tender). We were told 20 minutes, and it ended up being ten, so I can't complain about that. Second, this place is a super, super hipster scene, especially brunch on a Sunday. I don't know if I've ever seen this many hipsters in one place, except maybe when we were at Triangle in West Ashley. Third, the beer selection is decent, though not particularly varied. Like most places, it trends safe rather than interesting, though I was able to get a Kona Porter and a Founder's All-Day-IPA, so I can't complain TOO much. There were only four 'lunch' menu items available - shrimp n' grits, pulled pork sammich, Cuban sammich, and fish tacos. I tried the pulled pork, the wife had the Cuban. Both sandwiches were AWESOME. The pulled pork was extremely tender, and wasn't overly dressed. The cole slaw on top was fairly good, though nothing spectacular. My wife's fries were pretty damn good, though. As Meghan C. said, they only seem to have one functioning high chair, which...someone else was using. The one they brought us had a broken buckle, so I had to do some on-the-spot engineering to make it work. When we asked for a replacement chair, the hostess said that the other one was broken. Nice. Oh yeah...who decided that all four TVs in the place should have gymnastics competitions on???

One of my favorite spots for Sunday brunch. The southwest egg rolls and sweet potato fries are amazing. $1 dollar mimosas, all day everyday!

  • Meghan C.

Super packed for brunch on Sunday and with cause... I think they literally have one functioning high chair so that is something to consider if you have a kid. I'll keep this short - get a bloody, buddy. Solid showing. Had the Cuban and a Ruthless Rye and again, very solid showing. Service was prompt and strictly business, which is fine by me. Get me my beer!

I've eaten at triangle in west ashley a bunch but I finally tried the one in mount pleasant after heading over to parrot surf shop. The inside decor was very well done and yes we may have been the only table in there so obviously the service was great. I always rocks the black bean burger but on a general lee set up (pimento cheese and caramelized onions NOM NOM NOM) with fries. The serving is massive and this is one of the best veggie burgers in town by far! The boyfriend always gets the hot shit burger with jalepenos and farm egg and loves it! We did try the collards and side of rice today. The rice was definitely uncle bens and the collards were strange but all in all the burgers were amazing! Brunch is good as well! Cheap mimosas and eggs Benedict a bunch of different ways!

Right time, right place! We had just left the Party at the Point and we desperately wanted to have a place that would accommodate our 2 small dogs. My Sister-in-Law wanted a place to serve her a veggie burger or something fresh. I attempted to find the a place suiting our needs in the area on YELP. I was just striking out left and right when I asked a cousin at the event if he knew of a place. He immediately said Triangle had a great turkey burger and outdoor seating. That fit the bill so we made it and luckily got the last outdoor table available. We were in the dime zone! Then our waiter could not have been better. He sold us on the grass fed local beef, the Turkey burger, and I got the local grass fed ribeye special with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. OMG, was it fantastic. And he even knew the farm it came from. Talk about farm to table! My family just loved everything about the evening. Good service can trump good food but in this case they get the hard to get 5 Star treatment because we got both. My suggestion is that somehow you maybe update some items so that when others are looking for outdoor places and healthy food make sure you get found on Yelp. I will do what I can in the tips on your business but I would probably have missed out and ended elsewhere had my cousin not pointed it out and given such a favorable opinion of your establishment. See you soon!

This place is amazing! We are taking my step dad for fathers day! Best burger I have ever had, and that's a serious recommendation coming from a mid-westerner, I come from the land of beef! It's kind of expensive but so soo worth it! You get what you pay for right?

Love the ambiance here...great comfortable couches outside, cool lights in and out. The staff has always been extremely accommodating and the food although not the best in town is always good. Trees and cheese, burgers, mac and cheese and their tacos are personal favorites.

I love this place. It has a cool atmosphere. The seating is great. Whether you are inside or outside, you've got a great view and the breeze. The food is delicious. I'm a fan of the chicken tacos with some sort of mango salsa. Yum. Brunch is busy on the weekend though, so make sure that you get there early. They usually have a good deal on mimosas too.

I have never been so disgusted as I was at brunch yesterday! We are local and love coming to Triangle...it's never over the top great, but the atmosphere and drinks are usually worth it. We waited for a table for 30 minutes which is fine. We ordered mimosas and bloody marys to start. Bloody Marys took FOREVER! We then ordered 2 appetizers since we were all starving and could see they were busy. Our server seemed like he could care less from the very beginning. After literally waiting an ENTIRE HOUR, our entrees came out BEFORE the appetizers. He claimed there was an issue with the breading of the egg rolls in the back? (We think he just forgot to put them in). We told him that there was really no point in having the appetizers now that our food was out. He literally brought them out and teased us with them...... but wait for it.....DROPPED THEM OFF AT THE TABLE BESIDE and BEHIND US telling them that they were free and soooo good! Literally rubbing it in our face. Furious doesn't even begin to describe it. I was previously the GM of a local restaurant and I would have asked him to clock out and not come back. He could have politely said "Hi, I know you really don't want these anymore, but they will be on the house so please enjoy". The best part is when the manager/owner finally got to us and offered us "shots" to make us happy? I'm sorry, we aren't college kids that are easily "made happy" with shots. That was a slap in the face. There should have been no question asked....our total ticket should have been comped at this point. Instead we all received "tokens for tacos and beer"? Really?????? Some of our mimosas were comped but NOT the Bloody Mary's...I guess the vodka was too expensive to comp? No wonder the poor kid server doesn't know restaurant etiquette. We were all floored at this entire experience. We will not be back and we left the tokens on the table so that maybe our server can "be happy" with "tacos and beer". RIDICULOUS! Poor poor management!

We loved Triangle! The restaurant has a great vibe. Big points for their fun deck/patio area which is partly covered by a roof and partly covered by trees that provide afternoon shade. They have an excellent craft beer selection and delicious grass fed burgers from local farms. I had the Wilbur which features a slab of pork belly on top. The fries are hand cut and delicious. I also look forward to returning to try some of their yummy vegetarian offerings - for a burger joint, they have an impressive list of non-meat items. Our server did an excellent job and accommodated a special request I made for my two year old's meal. As you will often find in my reviews, I like Triangle because we can take our daughter and feel confident that she is eating some good food that she enjoys while not being in a "kid" restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed a pint and good conversation while my daughter colored using the crayons Triangle provided, and we all enjoyed a delicious and healthy meal.

Ok maybe a bad day in the kitchen? W we're running around and thought to try another new place for an early dinner so we chose here. The appetizers we had.. Popcorn with mozzarella very good, I also ordered the Grit bites very good has some jalapeño inside so beware. Burger: here is where things went South, I ordered the Wilbur when I took my first bite Blood spurted from within, very raw and uncooked the server offered to take my burger back and "fix it up" the same burger? Yes. Huh?? Maybe a whole new one would be better? I felt the whole service was not up to par. Daughter ordered the Chicken Taco: should be renamed the "Mango" taco 1/2 lb of mango 3 oz of chicken. I have been told that the brunch is really good so I will give them a pass as it might have been an off day? I gave a 3 because my wife loved her burger and if she loves her burger then that is deserving of a decent rating.

So far, Triangle wins for the best pancakes AND homefries in Charleston. I've sampled from quite a few restaurants in CHS over the last few years and I feel like this is a pretty solid opinion. The buttermilk pancakes only come in one size of three pancakes plus a side of bacon/sausage- but if you're more of a shortstack girl and not into the meat options like me, go for the children's pancake option of two pancakes/no meat- basically a short stack). These pancakes were the perfect combination of everything good. Sizzled to perfection, not too thick, the perfect amount of fluffy, heavenly goodness. Perfect. Homefries were the little fried potato pieces. Did I mention they had also have killer Sunday brunch specials? Pretty sure it was $1 mimosas. Are you kidding? $1? Oh geez. This is the kind of place you come with friends and just have an amazing Sunday morning hanging out eating, and downing mimosas like it's your job. Waitress was a bit sidetracked with us- forgot my juice for a while and our order came out a bit after a table who'd gotten there a while after us, leading me to think she forgot to put it in right away. But it happens, and it was Sunday brunch, which is a busy time. Probably just an off day- she still seemed pretty nice and was apologetic, which is important. I can't wait to go back for more pancakes. So happy this Mt P location opened up! Way better than making the commute from Mt P to West Ashley!

A great inexpensive brunch option! I have gone to Triangle many times for brunch and get something different every time. My favorite items are the grits, crab cake, and they have $1 mimosas or $7 carafes!!!! Always a crowd.

Our first visit was for lunch, a month or so ago. We had the Wilbur (grass-fed beef burger with pork belly and cheddar) and the "rockin rolls" combo. The burger was good, but just shy of impressive. Each of the egg rolls were done in a non-traditional style: pulled pork with greens & mustard 'que; avocado with thai chili; chorizo with potato & queso; and shrimp & grits with tomato gravy. They were all tasty, some more than others. However, I would only order them with the intention to share. They are a bit heavy and got to be a bit much after two. This morning we went for Sunday brunch and it was a delight, from beginning to end. We arrived just after noon to find a light crowd but our party of four was seated inside immediately. It was a beautiful day out; with the garage door windows opened all around, we enjoyed the comfort of an inside booth, while benefiting from the pleasant fresh air. Our server visited us right away. We shared a $7 carafe of mimosa. I had the special fried flounder benedict. It was excellent: very light breading, but with a nice crunch, not greasy. The flounder was delicate and moist. The poached eggs were just right and the cajun hollandaise added just a hint of cayenne spice without masking any of the other flavors. It was served with thick and creamy stone ground grits. I normally add hot sauce or, at least, butter and pepper to my grits; these required no fixing up. Two of our party ordered different omelettes. They were both light and fluffy, filled with fresh and flavorful ingredients. Finally, there was the French toast special: stuffed with Grand Marnier-infused cream cheese, and topped with pomegranate marmalade. As the man said, "Whoomp! There it is." I'll admit, it may have been a bit over-the-top as a lone entree. But, as we were liberally sampling from each others' plates, it was perfect for sharing between the four of us. Throughout the meal, our server checked up on us regularly and one of the managers stopped by once, as well. We're looking forward to going back to try lunch, again, soon. Hopefully we'll catch whatever magic we may have missed with the burger last time. But if not, this will definitely become a brunch staple.

Excellent ambiance and a wonderful place to grab drinks with a friend. Props to our helpful waitress who steered us away from the more questionable cocktails to the tried and true favorites. You'd think that playing cornhole next to Ben Sawyer Blvd would be dorky (maybe it is?), but you don't even notice the traffic.

Pleasantly surprised! Went to dinner there last night for the first time. Got there early (5pm) and the place was almost full already. Service was very good. They have beer flights, 4 small glasses for around 8.00. A very good deal as all the beers were very good and it was nice to try 4 at a time. We started with the PBR wings for 6.00. They are actually double wings (not split) so you are really getting 12 for that price. Very good, lots of sauce and homemade blue cheese. They come with 2 celery sticks and one carrot stick. I would have liked a bit more but it wasnt a problem. I had the rib special. Each rib is 2.00 and they are huge. I ordered 3 and only ate two, my son at the other and he loved it too. Son and husband had cheeseburgers which were very good. Only issue was they were slightly overcooked. Ordered medium and came out medium well. Still very tasty. Sweet potato fries are excellent and served with house made apple butter. YUMMY. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area that was bustling last night. We will definitely be back.

The wraps and fries were great, but the black bean burger was mushy and bland. Overall, as a burger joint, it wasn't horrible, but nothing to write home about, either. The service was friendly, but allowing people to smoke so close to the open-air patio was gross. Again, the fries were outstanding. But not worth a return trip.

Sure wish we had triangles in NH as I'm certain it would be our "go to!" Started with flights of beer-your choice of 4 of their extensive, varied menu. I'm not a huge beer drinker so ordered my standard dirty martini (of which I am extremely particular) and was delighted that a beer place could make such a great martini! 3 of out party of 4started with broccoli cheddar soup and raved about it. I opted for a half of toasted goat salad - amazing! I wish I had ordered a whole one as the lemon poppyseed dressing was delicious!! Our main courses selections included "the coop" mahi tacos, the plain Jane burger and I chose the spaghetti squash. Everyone in my group raved about the food! The Idaho fries and sweet potato fries are absolutely delicious! The burgers are the real deal and the spaghetti squash was unique and totally addictive!! A great choice for drinks, service and delicious food! Will definitely go back!

Was really excited to eat here due to all the good reviews, however very disappointed. The food took thirty minutes, which I consider long when no one is there (Thursday night). The burgers were ordered at a medium temp but arrived well done. The bun was thirty percent bigger than the burger and the fries were cold. Blah. I won't be returning...

I love all the things that make triangle stand apart from the rest; Great Bartenders, Humongous Beer Selection, Nightly Food Specials and INCREDIBLE atmosphere. Not to mention the delicious brunch & specialty drink menu that will knock your socks off. The layout of the restaurant is definitely a highlight, with tons of different pockets to hang out in you can be the legendary socialite that you are meant to be or stick to yourself until you have enough of a buzz to get chatty. Triangle offers a huge bar with indoor & outdoor seating with enormous bay doors for bringing the outdoors in on a beautiful day. The booths are more than ample, and the four-seater tables in the dining areas core can be situated any way you like to accommodate large groups. The best seats in the house have got to be the big red comfy patio section. Those chairs make you do funny things, like watch the beach traffic, fall in love, play cornhole and order Trees & Cheese (fried broccoli with queso....genius). I admit, I'm a habitual offender of this place, it has swag, from the music running through its triangular veins to the bad ass graffiti on the walls, they do it right at Triangle Char & Bar, that's for sure.

Stopped in here on a Sunday for lunch. Not too busy, no wait for a table. So many things on the menu looked amazing! My husband loved the jalapeno grits. We both had burgers, which are made with local grass fed beef. I had the plain jane, which was a simple cheeseburger. It may be my new favorite burger! Also had great sweet potato fries with apple butter for dipping. Delicious! Friendly service also.

This was our 4th or 5th visit to Triangle in Mt. P. The first few visits weren't really memorable, except for the Turkey Burger which, albeit a little salty, was delicious. This time we went again for lunch and it was nothing short of perfect. I rarely will rave about a standard lunch spot like Triangle, but this time it was excellent. We went the healthy option route. They have an absolutely delicious salmon dish with brown rice and asparagus. The salmon was perfectly cooked, moist and tasty. The brown rice and asparagus were also perfectly done. Honestly, one of the better healthy lunch dishes I'd had in a while. We also had the Stack which consisted of a portabella mushroom, spinach, roasted red pepper, quinoa, and balsamic. So refreshing to have quinoa on a menu....tragedy that more places don't. Our guests had the hummus (also delicious...very garlicky, but I like that) and the Hot Sh** burger with grass fed beef, chorizo, fried egg, jalapeno, and pepper jack cheese. He loved it. Fries were great too. There's only one reason I won't give 5 stars for Triangle...they didn't have the NFL Sunday Package last year...I mean seriously, it's an awesome bar, perfect set up for Charleston weather. Great food, great service, and NO FOOTBALL. Come on...if they have the NFL Ticket this year, I'll edit this review and make it 5 stars!

Went for taco Tuesday. The deals are $3 tacos, Mojitos, Margaritas, or coronas. Sat at the bar. Bartender was attentive and nice. Mojito wasn't the greatest, but the margarita was good. My husband and I sampled the six different tacos, beef, shrimp, chicken, black bean, pulled pork, and a fish. I liked the black bean and my husband liked the pork the best. Cool atmosphere, good service. I'll be back.

A Bit Of A Wait, But The Burgers We're Great We bid a fond farewell to June by having dinner at one of the newest Mt. Pleasant hot spots, Triangle Char and Bar or "Triangle East" as it is referred to on their Facebook page. The former Barbara Jean's has opened to large crowds and much popularity and we were just two of the folks that were excited to try it out. When we arrived I was surprised at the great energy and nice feel that the restaurant had. I have only driven by the Char and Bar in West Ashley so I didn't really know what to expect. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. During our visit one of the owners, Skipper Condon came by to say hello. He asked us how we liked the booth that we were seated in and mentioned that the table top was actually a welded car hood. He modeled this restaurant after the one in West Ashley that was previously a filling station. So within the restaurant there are four "garage doors", lots of metal, lights that hang on wires that look as if they would be used to look under a hood, a few bright colored paintings and many recycled touches. The décor alone is worth the trip. Although our name went on a list we were seated in a matter of minutes. Our server, who was busy with a few other tables caught our eye and told us she would be right over - so far, so good. The menu is a mix of appetizers (snacks), salads, sandwiches a few entrees, craft beers, many varieties of egg rolls, etc., but the headliner appears to be the local grass fed beef burgers. This was something that Skipper actually raved about when he visited with us. We decided quickly what we wanted to order and our server was at our table in a flash. Each night there is a daily special that is listed at the bottom of the menu under "Hours of Happiness". The night we were there it happened to be "Three Course Thursday" which offered a snack, burger and a draft beer. We chose this selection and picked a local Mount Pleasant IPA, Tailgate dip, and a Hot Sh** (no lie), burger. The burger was to consist of local grass fed beef, chorizo, fried egg, jalapenos and pepper jack cheese. Since it was so hot out we also chose the Watermelon salad which was described as having watermelon, mixed greens, prosciutto, parmesan cheese, basil and green goddess dressing. We could not wait for our items to arrive. But wait we did. When a restaurant is very busy I like to look around to see whose eating. If a lot of folks are enjoying their meals it usually means that the kitchen is keeping their heads above water and is generally keeping up with the rush. On the other hand, if no one's eating it could mean that the restaurant has had a lot of tables seated at the same time and/or the kitchen's in the weeds. When I noticed that the restaurant was fully seated, there was a wait for tables and only a handful of tables had their food, I had a feeling dinner was going to be awhile. After waiting for over 30 minutes I asked our server if our Tailgate dip was coming out any time soon. She assured us it was. A few minutes later the dip arrived. It was a hot cheesy dip with spicy sausage and tortilla chips. It was actually very good, and we quickly chomped our way through it. I'm not sure if the kitchen assumed we would scarf down the dip quickly or if the server put the order in all at once, whatever the reason, our entrees arrived within four minutes of our dip landing on the table. The burger was delightful. You can really taste the difference that the local grass fed beef makes. The menu claims that the burgers are "World's Best Burgers" ("Voted by us") and we would have a hard time disagreeing! It was juicy, hot, cooked as ordered and the toppings were perfect. But that is about as perfect as it got at our table. The fries that accompanied the burger were dead, dead, put a fork in them, dead. I'm almost certain that my salad waited in the window while my husband's burger was made. The watermelon salad had great potential, but it was so warm that the melon was mushy and the cheese and prosciutto had melted into professionally speaking, a globby mess. What a shame. Since it took so long to get the salad in the first place I didn't want to send it back and ask for another. I honestly didn't have another 40 minutes in me. So I had a little bit of the burger, much to my husband's chagrin since he loved it and really didn't want to share, and called it a day. After being open only three weeks it appears that the restaurant is still working out some kinks. Their Sunday Brunch menu, with $1.00 mimosas, looks pretty interesting. We're determined to give them another chance so stay tuned for the brunch review in the upcoming weeks.

This was a very tasty alternative to your typical chain restaurant. Our table of 3 sampled a variety and it was all very good...shrimp tacos, black bean burger, bacon cheese burger, sweet potato fries, & onion rings. We also had an opportunity to try a dinner salad with white balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Everything (even the dressing) is made from scratch, delicious, and very reasonably priced. I would definitely try this again if I'm back in the area.

I have had some good experiences here, but the last time our food was awful - bad veggie burger, and taco's with no meat in them. I even sent them feedback but they never replied. I guess they don't care about talking about negative feedback. Lately we have been getting better burgers at Poe's and Coleman Public House.

I have been to the new Triangle for brunch and dinner. Brunch was pretty good. I had an omelet that was good. My wife had the French Toast. It was a huge portion. For dinner we went on "Taco Tuesday." We sampled a number of tacos: Shrimp (did not like), beef (decent), chicken (good), mahi ( good), black bean (good), and pork (my favorite of the bunch). They have a good beer selection featuring a number of local and regional craft brews.

Do not go to this establishment. When I asked the manager, Brooke, which burger she would suggest, she scoffed at me and told me that she was a vegan. A vegan? Manager? At a resturant that prides themselves on their grass fed beef? A huge hipocrcy mixed with a truly unpleasant demeanor makes for a terrible experience. Save your time and money. Go to poe's. They have a lovely, knowlagable staff that are full of fun and smiles. You will not find this from Brooke, the MANAGER at triangle char and bar.

I thought that I left my credit card there by mistake the other night. I called to see if they had it and a woman put me on hold. 10 minutes later another woman answered and had no idea that I had already spoken to someone. She informed me that they were "extremely busy" and asked if I could call back in an hour. Seriously? I wasn't comfortable not knowing whether if my card was in the hands of some stranger for another hour because the staff couldn't get their $&!#! together enough to check for me. I won't be returning until the service improves drastically.

Holy shit people! I've been here five or six times. Mediocre burgers, great beer, shit service. The guy who is a little bit older (bartender with longer dark hair) is the exception, he's good at his job. I was in tonight for a quick pint after my bartending shift & the poor white girl at the bar may be cute but sure as hell isn't a bartender. With exactly five people at the bar it took more than ten minutes before she even made eye contact with me and when she finally did she hurried me through my beer order & didn't even offer me change for my pint, assumed it was a well deserved tip. Is it not pertinent at a new establishment, and beneficial, to staff your bar with capable people? Completely ridiculous experience. I won't be back. 7/13/2011 8:40PM

I've been here several times because I like the bar set up and the food has been pretty good, especially the egg roll sampler. But went this past weekend, and had the chicken and beef skewers - and it was like they were serving squirrel meat on a stick! Honestly - the meat was so scarce and it was like it was ripped apart - for ten bucks? Noticed the beer selection is starting to slip too. It's getting too average. I need to take a break from this place and come back at a later date and see what happens.

I really like Triangle. For me it's the perfect spot to grab a beer (or two) and have something small. The atmosphere is really chill and they've got some nice specials on a daily basis. I would come here with the expectation of unwinding. It's not going to be the best food or the best service but a it will most definitely be a nice time.

I was quite reluctant to come here based on some of the reviews I have read about spotty food and service, but I am really glad we gave this place a chance! Our bartender gave us great service and poured us decent drinks. She was really friendly and attentive, something that can be difficult to find at Mt.P establishments. Kudos for that! We had the Avondale nachos (holy s***) and the Hot Sh*t Burger. They split the burger for us, which was extra nice, because we didn't even ask. Both were delicious, but let me warn you - they are both huge. We definitely did NOT need them both for one sitting. The nachos are made with homemade chips, always a winner. The best part about this place is its location and layout. I love the whole inside/outside bar concept. This place is always rocking for brunch, and now I know why. Looking forward to coming back!

Cool burger joint. Everyone got a burger. Plenty of seating and wasn't overly crowded, maybe because I came during lunch time. Decent prices. My burger was a little on the small side. If in the area I would drop by again. Not much else to say other than that. Waitress was attentive, so no complaints there.

The food here was to die for!!! My table started off splitting an order of cinnamon rolls and no one was disappointed in those. They are incredibly tasty. I got the pimiento and bacon fold and my only regret was my stomach couldn't finish all of it. All their omelets are huge, two other people from my table got different ones and they don't skimp on what they fill them with. The mimosas are reasonable for the price. I do wish they made them with fresher orange juice but that fact doesn't take away how amazing the atmosphere, food and service that was here. It's a really great spot for brunch!

By far the best lunch special anywhere in Charleston. Today I had the half sandwich a meatloaf slider w/fries for $5. This is also the place to be when you want to sit outside. Nice place to hang out and very friendly service. Convient location for those headed to or from sullivans Island.

I've been many times and this is more a review of my experiences, my parents and friends on separate occasions. This is a mediocre restaurant at best. They tout grass fed beef and a wholistic approach... Do yourself a favor and drive 5 extra minutes to Poes for the best burger in town. If you want a beer and cornhole (if you can't afford the $50 for your boards) then Yep- this is your place to be mediocre and boring!

Stopped in here on a Sunday for lunch. Not too busy, no wait for a table. So many things on the menu looked amazing! My husband loved the jalapeno grits.

Holy awesomeness! The Coop, the Nap, the Egg rolls, the southwest salad, the tacos, I can go on and on. The menu is solid and the beers selections are great. Love this place!

Really surprised to learn they serve farm raised salmon since their beef is grass fed. When I asked why, the waitress and manager on duty copped an attitude.

A great inexpensive brunch option! I have gone to Triangle many times for brunch and get something different every time. My favorite items are the grits, crab cake, and they have $1 mimosas or $7 carafes!!!! Always a crowd.
